Good defender, great 2 and 3 pts shooter, likes the physical game, has a good split vision. Very good fundamentals. Can play like 2, 2/1, 2/3. Very good FT percentage. Hardworker, nice team spirit and coachable. Great motivation for the work.

Originally from the Liège region (Belgium), Gaël begins playing RBC Avenir de Jupille. Quickly spotted by Yves Perugini, Niksa Bavcevic's assistant, he joined the RBC Verviers-Pepinster Training Center and joined the D1 core in 2008 under Ivica Skelin. In 2009, although still evolving at RBC Verviers Pepinster, he won his first contract with Spirou de Charleroi.

In his first year in basketball, he is back in the national team and he joins the U18 team for the European Championship (Division A) in Greece where Belgium has a lot to face Spain, Greece, Germany, Bulgaria and Estonia. The Belgians outweigh Germany and Estonia, where he stands out.
